After a session, your body may go through a processing period, during which it integrates these changes. Some people may also
experience a healing crisis, a temporary phase where symptoms may seem to intensify before improving.
Knowing what to expect can help you navigate this period with ease.
What is the Processing Period?
This is the time after a session when your body and energy system adjust.
Everyone experiences this differently— some may feel noticeable shifts,
while others may not feel much at all.
Duration:
· Typically lasts 2-3 days, but can be longer depending on your body.
Possible Symptoms:
· Increased energy or fatigue
· Emotional ups and downs
· Changes in sleep patterns or dreams
· Mild headaches or body aches
· Temporary resurfacing of old emotions
· Feeling lighter and more mentally clear
How to Support Yourself During This Time
To help your body process smoothly, consider:
· Drinking plenty of water to support detoxification
· Getting enough rest to allow healing.
· Eating nourishing foods to maintain your energy.
· Engaging in gentle movement like stretching or walking.
· Listening to your body’s needs and practicing self-care.
What is a Healing Crisis?
Sometimes, as your body releases stored energy, symptoms may intensify before improving.
This is known as a healing crisis and is a normal part of deep healing.
Possible Signs:
· Increased fatigue or flu-like symptoms
· Temporary emotional sensitivity
· Detox effects (headaches, nausea, breakouts)
· Heightened awareness of past emotions
Factors That Can Contribute to a Healing Crisis:
· Sensitivity: Some individuals are more sensitive to energy shifts, making them more likely to experience a healing crisis.
· Intensity: If a session is particularly intense, it may trigger stronger reactions in the body.
· Duration: Longer sessions may overwhelm the body's ability to process all at once.
· Previous Trauma: Past emotional wounds or unresolved trauma can resurface as the body releases stored energy.
· Blocked Energy: Energy healing helps remove blockages, but sometimes this release can be overwhelming if too much is cleared at once.
· Personal Energy Field: Each person’s energy field interacts with healing in a unique way, making some more prone to temporary symptoms.
· Intention of Healing: If the goal is deep emotional release, stronger reactions may occur as those emotions are processed.
· Resistance: If a person subconsciously resists the healing process, it can create internal friction, leading to stronger physical or emotional symptoms.
